Settling disputes out of court
An app that points people to conciliation or mediation, and lets them rehearse the conversation before the real meeting.

The starting point
Faced with an everyday dispute (a noisy neighbour, a parcel that never arrived, a deposit the landlord keeps), most people see two options, put up with it or go to court. The amicable route is free and often required before a lawsuit, yet few know it, and many turn up to the meeting angry and unprepared.
What I built
- A short questionnaire that points to the right amicable option for the situation, and says when the law requires it.
- A role-play game where every choice has a visible cost (relationship, money, time), and each level puts you in a different role.
- A learning path with quizzes, a glossary, and plain-language definitions of legal terms on hover.
- A site that works with a keyboard and screen readers, with no account and no data sent anywhere.
My part
I designed the role-play engine (scenario format, checks that every playthrough reaches an ending), its interface and results screen, and the accessible definitions used across the site.
The result
A complete prototype built in two days and pitched to the jury, after a working session with conciliators and mediators whose feedback was built in before the pitch.
